Kezar Brewers 14, White Sox 25+ 2
The Brewers got back in the win column with a 14-2 victory over the White Sox at Canada College. Apparently finally playing on a decent field agreed with the Brewers sticks and arms as the pounded out 16 hits and only allowed 6 by the White Sox.
The Brewers were lead on the mound by Jared "Big Red" just back from another 2 week vacation (non-profits have some fantastic benefits). In fact he was perfect through the first 5 innings. Finally in the 6th the White Sox managed a see-ing eye blooper down the right field line and a solid gapper in left-center. But Jared was masterful in his first game back. He also had 2 hits ... though he did get gunned down at second trying to stretch out a double.
Offensively the Brewers were lead by Barringer (again) who went 3-6 with 2 doubles and 4 RBIs ... he also pitched the 9th with 2 K's. A finally healthy Thiago went 3-5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's, picking up his money as usual. Wilcox managed to make his manager look smart for once going 3-4, with 2 BB's and 2 runs scored from the first spot in the order. Rocca showed a little of his old form going 2-5 with a couple of RBI's as well ... let's try to keep that up.
And defensively the Brewers were solid all day with only 1 error. I'm going to guess that it had something to do with getting some true hops for once.
